After 6 long months of Fire Academy training with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, Probationary Firefighter Matt Storey graduated and received his certificate from MCFRS Fire Chief Lohr and MC County Executive Leggit on Thursday, July 11, 2013. PFF Storey has been assigned to Station 34 "C" (Silver Spring/Milestone Station).
Sixteen family members and friends attended the graduation ceremony in support of Matt. The graduation ceremony for MCFRS "Class 37", was held in the "Red Auditorium" at the National Institute of Standards and Technology near Rockville. The class started with 83 recruits and graduated 70 new firefighters, Montgomery Counties largest recruit class.
We are all very proud of Matt and his accomplishment; and wish him the best in his new career as a firefighter. Congratulations Matt !!!!!!!!!!!!
