Rescue Alarm 10-5. At about 10:00 AM, Rescue Squad 8 was dispatched for a motor vehicle collision with 1 subject trapped at the intersection of Main Street and High Street in New Windsor. The Rescue Squad responded to assist Paramedic 109, Engine 102, Utility 10. First arriving Chief 10-1 (B. Welker) found a two vehicle collision with one overturned and established "Command 10". Engine 102 stabilized the vehicle on it's roof and began patient removal while Paramedic 109 began treating the patient.
Rescue Squad 8 arrived and assisted with patient removal and care. MSP Aviation and Paramedic 89 were also dispatched to assist. Once the patient was extricated from the vehicle, Engine 102 went to the New Windsor Middle School and established a landing site for Trooper 3. The patient was transported a patient to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Paramedic 89 transported a second patient to Carroll Hospital Center. Rescue Squad 8 cleared the scene once the patients were loaded into the ambulances.
